What We Do
Computers in Education Inc. has successfully helped teachers prepare students for state proficiency, achievement, and graduation tests over the past twenty years dba Pro-Core. Now, Pro-Core is building on that experience to address Ohio’s New Learning Standards.
Pro-Core mirrors and extends our company’s expertise and excellence in the assessment industry and transitions our software and services into the state’s New Learning Standards and assessments. Pro-Core’s diagnostic assessment tool provides educators with prebuilt, yet customizable, standards-aligned assessments for students as well as detailed analysis reporting dashboard for teachers. Pro-Core will deliver data for informed decision making and targeted instruction that keeps all students moving toward success.
Pro-Core is guided by the belief that a high quality assessment tools can improve instruction by providing valuable diagnostic reports using a pre-test early in each school year (August-September) to assist administrators and teachers in planning curriculum and setting goals based on data-driven instruction. A series of short-cycle assessments are then provided as a basis for standards-based instruction. An interim formative assessment (January-February) and/or end-year summative assessment (April–May) provide student progress and teacher effectiveness reports to determine whether students and teacher classes are “on-track” in achieving proficiency.
On February 14, 2013, Pro-Core was officially placed on the state Approved Vendor List.
