Its assessments are 99% aligned with Ohio’s Learning Standards and provide actionable data to support instructional planning, evaluation, and student growth.
Pro-Core enables educators to analyze student performance, monitor progress, and differentiate instruction, supporting effective teaching practices aligned with the Ohio Standards for the Teaching Profession.
Instructional Sequence
- Form A: Pre-Test
At the beginning of the school year, students complete a diagnostic assessment to measure prior knowledge and skills. Each subject test requires approximately 1–1½ hours.
- Scoring and Reporting
Assessments are automatically scored, and diagnostic reports are generated immediately. Reports provide class and individual performance data and include predictive indicators for Form B and Form C assessments, with Form C correlating to Ohio State Tests and End-of-Course exams.
- Targeted Instruction
Based on results, students engage in standards-aligned instructional activities such as short-cycle web assessments, teacher-personalized assessments, and daily practice questions aligned to curriculum and district priorities.
- Ongoing Monitoring and Intervention
Teachers review assessment data regularly to adjust instructional groupings and interventions in response to student needs.
- Form B: Interim Assessment
A mid-year formative assessment measures individual and class progress toward instructional goals. Teachers use results to refine instruction and support continued growth.
- Teachers adjust instruction based on student learning
Teachers continue to analyze assessment data to identify students’ strengths and needs and modify instruction accordingly.
- Form C: Post-Test
End-of-course assessments measure student growth, instructional effectiveness, and readiness for state testing. Each subject assessment takes approximately 1–1½ hours.
